Homilies of a Deacon, For the Sunday Cycle YEAR A, November 30, 2025, to November 22, 2026, By Deacon Mark F. Hobson, PhD. This book of homilies for Year A in the Lectionary Calendar is intended for anyone who is interested in reflecting on the weekend and holiday readings from the perspective of a married person, father, and ordained deacon in the Roman Catholic church. Yet, my mom was Roman Catholic, and my dad was Episcopalian, so I grew up in a hybrid religious household. My hope is that Christians in mainstream Catholic and Protestant churches will enjoy the message and use the information for living a best life in Jesus Christ.
